I know I’m not the only mother of four who finds herself worrying about endless things. So relax, mama, you’re not alone! It’s completely normal to feel anxious and worried, whether you’re a new mom or have been at this for years.
After some deep reflection and talking with other moms, I believe it can help to name each source of worry. These worries can range from your family’s well-being and your kids’ health to finances, career, or simply wanting to give your children the best without breaking the bank. It could be about a sick family member, a challenging child, or even broader family dynamics—the list feels endless.
For me, I often wonder if I’m doing enough to meet my children’s physical, social, psychological, and mental needs. I want more—I want to be fully present for my family and serve God with everything I have. But when I start feeling overwhelmed by these thoughts, I remember the Bible’s wisdom: “Cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7) and “Do not be anxious about anything” (Philippians 4:6-7).
I realize that my true hope and strength come from God. Because He sees the end from the beginning, we can trust His guidance. So instead of letting worry take over, why not turn to Him, lay our concerns at His feet, and let Him lead us with His perfect peace?
When you release your burdens to God, He replaces those worries with His everlasting love. Remember, the plans He has for us are good.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
